Do we all agree that members of tren de aragua whom have done bad things should be removed from this country?
No.

They should be given due process, and be put through the court system. If they are found guilty of a crime, and they are not citizens of this country, deport their ass and tell them that if they return they'll be put in prison for life.

What Trump has done is ignore due process. Which is extraordinarily bad for our democratic processes.

If they have committed a crime, then yes. But we don't know if they have or haven't if we don't have DUE PROCESS!

Tren de Aragua is an alien enemy force that has come here, as detailed at length in the proclamation, at the direction of the Venezuelan government. The statute says that a President has the ability to repel an invasion or predatory incursion that is directed by a foreign government.
Serious question.

Can you provide proof that the Venezuelan government is directing Tren de Aragua to come to the US and commit crimes?

The proclamation also says:

"TdA is closely aligned with, and indeed has infiltrated, the Maduro regime."

Why the hell would they need to infiltrate if they are closely aligned? I mean, this shit isn't only obviously false; it doesn't even make any sense. They literally can't keep their story straight for 7 words!

I get the impression that even if many of our board Trumpers are finally arrested by Trump 2.0 and sent to a gulag here in the US of A, even while they're rotting away in their cell they'll continue to somehow blindly defend the actions of this administration. "Well, they must have had a good reason for arresting and imprisoning me without a trial. I don't know what it is yet, but I'll think of something here soon!"

ICE official (Trump appointed) filed a declaration in court admitting that the third plane left after the written order was released. They claim it wasn't contempt because it was only filled with migrants who had already received their due process rights. I very much doubt that distinction was significant in the order -- the whole point of the order was to preserve the status quo while the case was being analyzed.

The multiplicity of different excuses suggests that they are all lies. "Oh, the planes were over international waters"; "Oh, we didn't get the order in time"; "oh, we were only following the written order"; "oh, we did have a plane leave but the passengers were different."

It's all bullshit.
Obviously the third plane is an issue. When you're talking about planes already in the air, over international waters, and there is a discrepancy between the verbal and written orders... It's very easy to almost play dumb. If you're talking about Venezuelan gang members, which is being reported, I honestly don't care if the Trump administration played dumb.

I'm talking about alleged gang members. You might believe that Trump is telling the truth about that, but the dozens of misstatements in court, along with "I don't know"s, "I'll get back to you," and "I have a correction"s, make me doubt everything they say.

I don't really trust Trump, but I do trust the fact that the media was in denial about the truth of the same gangs taking over the apartment complex in Colorado, so no reason to trust that side of things at this point.

Nobody took over any apartment buildings. A gang used one as a base of operations, apparently.

And I keep telling you, I'm not going by media reports. I read the fucking primary source documents and judicial orders. How about you trust me?

Word games. Anybody can interpret "takeover" to mean whatever they want.

Just hours after President Trump called for the impeachment of a federal judge who ruled against his deportation of hundreds of Venezuelans over the weekend, House Republicans introduced a measure to do just that.

Why it matters: GOP lawmakers have unleashed an unprecedented flood of long-shot impeachment articles aimed at federal judges who are standing in the way of the president's agenda.

  • James Boasberg, chief judge of the D.C. District Court, is at least the fifth federal judge who is facing a House GOP impeachment attempt after issuing a ruling unfavorable to the administration.
  • Trump's comments on Tuesday targeting Boasburg spurred a rare public rebuke from Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.
Driving the news: Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas) said Tuesday he is introducing articles of impeachment against Boasberg, arguing he "overstepped his authority, compromised the impartiality of the judiciary, and created a constitutional crisis."

I’d rather see criminals convicted in US courts serve their sentences in US prisons.

I don’t trust countries such as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Columbia, Venezuela, El Salvador, Guatemala, Kuwait, Brazil, Hungary, Romania, Argentina, China, Israel, Russia, etc. to imprison criminals convicted in US courts.

Deport them at the end of their sentences.
