“… No formal service will be held, the statement added. Instead, “the family encourages those who wish to honor his memory to do so in a way that reflects the life he lived by watching a great film, telling a good story around a table with friends, or taking a drive in the countryside to appreciate the world’s beauty.”…”
That's a nice statement.

Get Low was also very good.

I am saddened to hear of this news.
I loved all of those westerns that he appeared in, Geronimo, Open Range, the Lonesome Dove series.
He was also in Bullitt though it was such a small part as a taxi cab driver.

I'm going to miss you Bluebonnet Spearman . . !

Ugh. Duvall and documentarian Frederick Wiseman in the same day hits hard.

CHARLIE DON’T SURF!!

My only beef with Wiseman was that he only makes his documentaries commercially available at an institutional as opposed to retail level (i.e. for more $$$). Titticut Follies and parts of High School used to be on YouTube and the like, but they often disappear due to copyright claims.
