“… Trump said Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to wrap up his nearly four-year-old invasion of Ukraine. Zelenskiy, the U.S. president said, was more reticent.

"I think he's ready to make a deal," Trump said of the Russian president. "I think Ukraine is less ready to make a deal."

Asked why U.S.-led negotiations had not yet resolved Europe's largest land conflict since World War Two, Trump responded: "Zelenskiy."

… Asked if he would meet Zelenskiy at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, next week, Trump said he would but implied no plans were set.

"I would - if he's there," Trump said. "I'm going to be there."

Asked why he believed Zelenskiy was holding back on negotiations, Trump did not elaborate, saying only: "I just think he's, you know, having a hard time getting there."…”

Let me translate this from Trump BS to regular English for all us...

"Putin is ready for Zelenskyy to surrender and Zelenskyy is refusing."

AI is helping drones fly like birds, evading detection. Look for more disruptions to shipping.
If my back of the napkin calculations are correct, then if Russia's crude oil exports were reduced by 25% to 50%, then it would have only a marginal impact on oil prices. I suspect, Ukraine has done the calculations and will seek the sweet spot in reducing Russian oil exports.

Russia takes advantage of the weather cycle every year. Its one reason I suspect that Ukraine is cool with millions of its citizens living outside the country. It eases the load on wartime resources. Not to mention the hundreds of apartment complexes Russia has bombed. Those people then have to live somewhere, so having a sizable part of the country's population living elsewhere makes the strain easier.

I have to wonder if Trump's fetish for Greenland has anything to do with punishing Denmark for its robust support for Ukraine. Its a shame, because Denmark fully supported us and suffered casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan. I so hate Trump.

Need better sourcing but damning (if sadly unsurprising) of true.

I found the above post both interesting and having all the hallmarks of being true. But I just could not bring myself to hit the "Like" button.

It was a matter of time before the pro Russian Tulsi Gabbard reared her ugly head. But interestingly, not all may be lost. There is some reporting that Trump's CIA Director, who frequently plays golf with Trump, supports Ukraine behind the scenes. And he may be the reason the U.S. continues to supply some Intel on Russia to Ukraine. Thou, of course its not all good. That guy has other suspect issues.

Likely Russian disinformation. There is a reason a bombshell story like that is appearing as a flat image from a French language TV channel posted on twitter and not the frontpage of every credible newspaper in the English speaking world.

Witkoff: Well, first of all, they’re in a war and so they’re shooting at each other. And we don’t condone that. We think it’s unfortunate.

With friends like these, amirite Ukraine …
