That's amazing. I can understand a 76 to 15 score against a weak opponent, but against the number one seed in the state finals?

Cherokee allowed 0 points in the 3rd Quarter and 4 points in the 4th quarter - of the state championship game.

Cherokee Girls dominated all season. Congrats.

The football team could use some of the Robbinsville Cherokee athlete families (Wachacha and Rattler) to turn the program around, but they aren't leaving Snowbird.

Are most of these players from Snowbird then?
 
29-1? Who was the loss to? USC? UConn? Minnesota Lynx? That championship game score make you think that when Pamilco got home, their Mommas didn't ask what happened, they asked, "How did you get away?"
 
The North Lincoln High School girls' basketball team was forced to forfeit 17 games in February 2026 due to an ineligible player who allegedly competed in a fifth season of high school basketball, violating
NCHSAA rules. Despite the forfeits just before the postseason, the team still made the playoffs and went on to win the NCHSAA state title.

I don't think the ineligible player was that significant, the majority of the team's big guns were still there, and they dominated. Their trophy will look funny as 5A State champs with a final record of like 8-21 or something like that.

no, most of Cherokee's players are from the boundary. I was saying there are some studs off both big and little snowbird that go to Robbinsville that always contribute to their sport success, but they are EBCI.
