Sam Howell to the Cowboys

Kind of surprised anyone signed him
He had a lot of interest as his name was popping up frequently for FA deals. In my opinion (a) he got a very raw deal in Washington and (b) he is not a practice QB. He does need to cut down on interceptions but he has all kinds of talent.

Hot take, I think he has a better deep ball and is a much better runner than Drake (who is great).

That's a sizzling hot take. He does have a really good deep ball. He's a different kind of runner than Drake - very elusive. But not on the same level as Drake overall, imo.

That’s quite the hot take indeed.

He was horrendous in Seattle and Minnesota.

He didn’t play a down for Minn in the season (that coaching staff clearly made good decisions regarding its QB’s).
In the preseason he was so bad, Minn chose Carson Wentz and Max Brosmer over him. Kevin O’Connell is a pretty good offensive mind. Maybe you’re right and it’s everyone else who’s wrong about Sam Howell, but i doubt it.

He's already made $6 million bucks, so if he's making $1.2 million per year now all he has to do is hang around for a few more years and he'll be in great shape for whatever life after football has for him.
