As a gun owner who took the time to undergo the required training to obtain a concealed carry permit- but whose gun has only ever left its safe at my in-laws’ house (my wife and I decided once we had kids we would not have firearms in our home) to go target shooting with my father-in-law- this pisses me off so much. It is also an enormous slap in the face to every single law-enforcement officer in the state of North Carolina whose job will get a lot harder and a lot more dangerous unnecessarily if and when this bill becomes law.

The Venn diagram of permitless carry states and shithole states is a near perfect circle. Sad to see that this kind of dangerous legislation will likely become law in NC very soon.

The type of people who would shoot a police officer, probably aren't the type of people who are generally concerned about gun laws in the first place.

Thanks for the insight, Zen. Not everybody who could conceivably make the job of an LEO more difficult and/or more dangerous, leaves the house in the morning with criminal intent.

Yippie Ki Yo Ki Yay - m-fers. Murikkkans have always been in love with the wild west rootin tootin cowpoke way of doin' thangs

You can always count on Zen.
Always. It’s why I continue to experience bafflement at how much engagement he gets. I understand, it’s hard to leave lies and propaganda unaddressed, and those lies propaganda do offer opportunities to broadly educate. Also, the good faith interlocutors almost universally end up expressing exhaustion and frustration- ie exactly his goal.

I'll believe it is a slap in the face for law enforcement when Police Unions stop endorsing candidates who make laws like this possible.

There's a feature on this board that was created for trolls like Zen - Super Ignore.
