So I posted this on the thread below but somehow it isn't showing up.

Bump. @Rock you may want to chime in.

Doing my end of year charitable donations today. Added this to the list. And done. Venmo link on page 2 (now in quote).

One of the few charities where 100% goes for operations. Unless of course Rock is fooling us all and spending it on hookers and blow. 😎

As to your question @NYCBlueBlood, I did think about making an appeal around the holidays seeing as people are sometimes in the giving mood but I naturally hate to ask. The cloud hosting tier we are flirting with based on traffic is $250 a month. But, if you go over that number, they don't just slap you with that amount, they give you a month or even more to pay the higher amount. So, I was putting it off as long as I could.

We are growing and the traffic is amazingly consistent. Personally, I checked out of my political interest after the election because I'm just burned out on Trump, as has become a national story.

I expect though that interest and therefore traffic will only increase when Trump is inaugurated because as he likes to point out, he's the ratings machine. The first Trump scandal, or international incident, maybe then I will put out the donation plea. So see you guys in early February.

Joking aside, thank you so much for your donation and for everyone that has donated in the past. Couldn't do it without you guys.

Some of the proceeds should definitely be earmarked for hookers and blow.

Unfortunately, my drug days are past me and I doubt there are very many good hookers in Kansas.

If anything, I thought about sending something NYCfans way for her diligent and outstanding work in keeping you degenerates in line and informed.

I think any time we ask people to help contribute, there will be an immediate response. It certainly should not fall on you to pay for costs associated with hosting/ maintaining the site... as the person who did the lion's share of the work to get this place up and running, that would not be right. If anything, you and nycfan deserve some sort of stipend for the personal time invested for the benefit of all. If there is enough money from the first round of crowdfunding to keep things going into next year, then no reason to rush. But if there is a risk it will start coming out of your pocket, one of us should post something ASAP... and it should not necessarily be you forced to do it.

I definitely DO NOT need anything thrown my way, though I appreciate the thought. I do encourage all who can to help support the costs of maintaining the board, though, as I think Rock is doing a phenomenal job and we've established a thriving community that only needs occasional scolding (or maybe bringing out the banning stick from time to time) due to all the great features Rock has implemented and you guys mostly do a great job of utilizing.

Otherwise, how can I send you a somewhat smaller donation for your excellent work ?
