So is Trump fucking with the World Cup? It appears he is. I knew he wouldn't be able to resist. The FIFA Peace Prize didn't do it for him.

Yes, that. It will at the least reduce the fan support. That alone would be a disaster.

But would you put it past him to refuse visas to the Brazilian soccer team? I wouldn't. In fact that might be his plan. Or Denmark?
 
FYI - Norway just announced that it will train in Greensboro ahead of the World Cup (joining Germany in Winston-Salem). Hoping there will be some open practices for both, which will be a really cool opportunity.
 
Rog Bennett was in town last night with a 2+ hour show. Billed as 99 Days before the World Cup. First guest was an Astronaut who told a very touching story about taking a Soccer Ball that had been on Challenger when it exploded back up to the International Space Station on his mission more than 30 years later [the ball had ended up washing up on the Atlantic shore]. Then the longtime Keeper with a recent signee for the Houston Dash. The third guess was a complete surprise: NBA Hall of Famer, Houston Cougar and Houston Rocket great Hakeem Olajuwon who talked about how his soccer skills translated to the court. And finally, the featured guest, #99 himself, JJ Watt.

It was a TREMENDOUS evening. Afterwards, Rog was signing his newly released book on the history of the World Cup through his eyes from the 78 Cup when he was 7 to the present. I was about 6th in line for the book signing and had worn my Everton third kit. When I got to the table where he was standing, he immediately embraced me in a bear hug, happy to see another Toffee supporter.

I believe the whole evening was recorded and will be available on through either the MiB website and/or its YouTube channel later this week.

YUGE day for the arsenal. mansfield on saturday should be a welcome respite for some of the high minutes guys, specifically looking at zubi and rice.

it's going to be really close. the only team that might be in worse form is burnley. tudor needs to work some miracles for them and quickly.

wolves and west ham are playing a LOT better now than they were earlier in the season.

it is pretty insane just how good the prem is from top to bottom right now. hell even burnley recently drew chelsea and beat palace.

the relegation battling teams would be top half and possibly challenging for champions league places in other leagues. every club is just absolutely stacked with talent.
