I very much hope you're right, but this is verbatim what a lot of people said confidently about Roe v. Wade just a few years ago.
I think there's a lot more to dispute with Roe as far as an obvious constitutional right.

It's pretty clear that the government can't discriminate.

It's like that when that one looney toon in Minnesota REALLY wanted to get rid of police and suddenly "Democrats" want to get rid of all police.
Wait. What? I feel like there was at least one prominent Democrat who supported defunding the police before she ended her political career.

"Vice President Kamala Harris voiced support for “defund the police” in a radio interview in June 2020 amid nationwide protests for police reform, just months before denouncing the movement after she had joined the Biden presidential campaign. "

I've seen her loosely express support for the defund the police movement, but never actually heard her express a desire to defund the police. Generally she just says that pouring more and more money into law enforcement isn't the best option.

Life is short. Blink and we will be focused on 2028. That’s how this stuff works.
Yeah, i don't think that's really true. If Trump issues a bunch of executive orders on crypto, he's going to crash the dollar and decimate the value of anything held in US dollars.

Well, one way or another we're all about to find out if Trump is really "not going to be that bad" as so many Trumper and bosider posters here keep saying, or if he's going to be just as bad as an even larger number of posters are predicting. As for myself I definitely lean to the "it's going to be an absolute shitshow" because his first term was a shitshow and people somehow forgot about it, and given the people he's put in charge this time I think it's going to be even worse. But we're all going to find out which prediction is true, that's for sure.

She actually held a pretty nuanced view that says just adding more police isn't necessarily the way to make our communities safer and we need police plus other resources. But she definitely expressed support for defunding the police including pretty pointedly backing the LA mayor when he pulled $150 million from the police budget. But when Joe tapped her as his vice president, she ran away from that pretty quick because it's just not a popular slogan outside of some liberal activists and a few left wing politicians.

For those insisting that Trump can't screw anything up that bad in four years and we'll all survive relatively unscathed, I would like to remind you that our country would be very different today if Mike Pence hadn't had an attack of conscience on January 6th, 2021, and had simply done Trump's bidding.

I guess it all depends on what she means by defund. I've people referencing shifting funding from police officers to other areas. I would hope she never supported what the woman in Minnesota supported, which is fully getting rid of the police force.

I don't think she ever supported anything close to that.

Trump's not gonna have time to screw anything up. It'll take his 4 years to fix Biden's 4 years of screw ups.
Could you help us identify the last time a Dem president inherited an economy from a Pub president that was remotely as strong as the one we have right now? Thanks in advance.
