The Pitt episode 11

Very powerful episode focusing on how Ice is having negative effect on the country.
Tbf, I’ve got several friends/acquaintances (and an ex-gf) who are immigration attorneys, and they seem to think this episode was heavy-handed. Their rationale is that the ICE agents likely wouldn’t be so openly law-breaking. confrontational, and abusive in a hospital—whereas they’d be more likely to act in those ways on the street or in an ICE facility.

I found that logic a bit naive…but what do I know?

I

I enjoyed the first few episodes of The Pitt but it’s really, really heavy handed when they try to make a point. They did it with abortion in season 1. Even though I more or less agree with what they’re trying to say, they do it in a manner that kills all the enjoyment for me so I’ve quit watching.

Oh man this show is amazing. Way way way better than ER was.

I still enjoy watching but I have started to notice how heavy handed they are. Show don’t tell…

Your loss.

Your loss.
I worked in healthcare for a long time and nothing is ever really black and white. So when they turn situations that I know my colleagues have had to deal with- including abortion and immigration issues- into morality plays with zero nuance, it just seems like overt pandering. Very off putting for me, but clearly not for most.

We've had so many examples of ICE agents openly breaking laws, being confrontational, and abusive, why would a hospital setting change that?
