I would just ask that we all know where he and JD are during the purge.

They can't be like Ted Cruz and run off to the Caribiana during this. They have to be available and should lose SS protections.

Just remember that a score of 9 on your bowel prep is a perfect score. Three sections of your bowel, each section scored 0 to 3, not 1 to 4. So 9 is a perfect prep score, not 12.

What do you think about this on the merits?

Do you think that it's a good idea for the law enforcement authorities (and military!) to have one day a year where they can be "really rough" to basically anyone in the name of "stopping crime"? This was Duterte's policy, except the one day a year thing quickly became any time, and they started targeting anyone they didn't like and wanted to get rid of. Even if you say Trump won't go as far as Duterte, how far along the road do you think we should go?

If someone were to tell you that Trump is guaranteed to implement a "one day a year of unlimited violence" policy, would you still support the man? It seems to me that this is a test of whether MAGA has a bottom.

This is quite literally fascism. It's not just kinda-fascism. It's not just what Mussolini did. This is the core definition of fascism. Whatever features certain types of fascism can or can't have on the margins, the deployment of jack boots given free reign to terrorize the people with "really rough" violence in the name of fighting crime or fighting Jews or fighting invasions of migrants is at the heart of what fascism is all about. It is also the signature defining characteristic.

So what do you think? And if you answer that you would not support him under those circumstances, but you aren't worried because he won't do it, could you also explain why you are so confident that Trump won't do what Trump said he will do, with full immunity, an unchecked pardon power, and a bureaucracy full of loyalists?

But since you asked, I think it's typical Trump dumbass bluster and means nothing in the long term

1. Because this is not a thread about your colonoscopy. If you want to start a thread about objects being shoved up your ass, in a medical setting or perhaps otherwise, you are free to do so. But if you post on a thread about Trump's promised jackboot thuggery, and you are a Trump supporter, I would think it appropriate to ask you about it.

In fact, I will help you out. I'll start the thread for you

2. Why are you confident that Trump won't do what he says he will do? What the people closest to him yearn to do? What his base demands that he do?

He said he was going to build a wall. Congress didn't cooperate, so he seized money from the Defense Department to do it.
He said he was going to renegotiate NAFTA. He did. He got the same result, basically, but the point is that he did what he said he would do.
He said he wanted to weaken NATO. Mission accomplished.
He said he was going to ban Muslims. He did. His first two attempts were enjoined. His third attempt was greenlighted by the Supreme Court only because it didn't ban ALL Muslims from ANYWHERE.

So Trump, unfortunately, has a record of keeping his promises. Why do you think he won't?

Our "legacy media" are more concerned with getting clicks and making $$$ than they are with journalism and providing accurate news coverage. Screw em, screw them all.
