I hate these gloomy days - the yard is now soaked and it wont dry out until late March (seriously - every damn year we get these ridiculous rains in December and without the sunlight, it just stays squishy for months).

I want snow!

As much as I’d like to see 17.3 inches of snow fall on Franklin County just to see rotowa’s reaction, that “forecast” is highly unlikely to happen.

For years, several New Jersey car dealerships have offered free cars to anyone who comes in for a test drive if Central Park receives 24” of snow in 24 hours. It’s not happened.

Warren/Halifax/Northampton Counties are not getting 23.9” of snow on the 23rd.

I'm pretty sure there was a tornado warning in SF earlier this year.
If so, I stand corrected. Just going by reports I read.

FTR, Wikipedia says there was a tornado in San Francisco in 1891 (but presumably no warning b/c there was no NWS). Also one near an airport in the 1950s and this in the area:

“December 23, 1996 – There were two tornadoes in the San Francisco area. The first was a waterspout that moved ashore Tomalesin Marin County, becoming an F1 twister that remained on the ground for six miles (9.7 km). It destroyed a large barn and knocked down power lines and trees. The other tornado was an F0 in Solano County, which injured a jogger who was flung into a fence”
