Been using this more and more over the past couple of weeks, and honestly it's pretty great. Whatever algorithms they use consistently bring me cool content...IMO it's better now than Twitter ever was.

Anybody else finding themselves on it more often?
 
It’s a mess. Bluesky and Threads took off a little when each respective app launched and then had upticks in activity when things happened like Elon doing a Nazi salute or whatever so people said I’m leaving twitter!

But, it’s clear that people have just come back to Twitter or stopped using BlueSky/threads. And Twitter is a ridiculous cesspool of bigotry and AI. Like crazy levels. I’m pretty keen on being able to spot/sleuth out AI and the amount now is wild. If you’re engaging in a political conversation on Twitter, and I don’t know why you would, you are almost certainly talking to a bot.

All this to say, I just use everything and try and stay informed while sorting out the crap.

IMO Threads is different now. I checked it out here and there at those times, and it's just different recently...I think some kind of critical mass has been reached.

I get very little toxic crap in my feed, and a lot of stuff that is interesting to me personally. Lots of interesting people too.
