Looking for any opinions from people who have used Stubhub, Vividseats, etc - good or bad.

Trying to get tickets to the Oasis reunion which of course sold out. Got in the queue during the sale right as it opened and was like 50,000th in line for Chicago (sold out at 36K) and 42,000th in line for LA (sold out at 24K).

Lots of tickets on the resale sites but don’t want to travel cross country and then find out my tickets don’t work.

Thoughts?

If you buy through the 'official' ticket partner then they will usually reissue the tickets to you. If thru a 3rd party then they rely on the person transferring the tickets (i think some have the ability to validate that the transfer went thru in some cases). Stubhub also has a buyer protection guarantee so if you get there and the tickets don't work then they will give you something comparable.

Have used Stubhub and SeatGeek a few times.

Only had one problem with Stubhub. The tickets I recieved for a DPAC concert were 2 rows behind from what I ordered. It was obvious once there that the seller was an usher as he hung a bit talking to folks at those seats. Got a $50 refund from Stubhub. Not a dimes worth of difference in seats.

There have been a few times I can see the section and row before buying, but not always the seat numbers until after the purchase.
Yes. Usually a seller/scalper has a nice block of seats and will sell off the least desirable first. Knew someone who got seats that way and his were up against a concrete aisle deal where his sight line was blocked a bit by the railing. So buyer beware. PNC Hurricanes game.

Hate ticket resale sites and usually go through a ticket swap or official fans selling their tickets site but I've used SeatGeek and StubHub with mixed results. Most of the time the issues are bc the seller doesn't send the digital tickets within the stated time. But an email to the company usually clears the issue up. The worst was StubHub bc the person had the actual tickets and sent them too late to get to my house so I had to get the postal service to redirect them to a friend in the area where we were going.

tl;dr fuck 3rd party ticket resale sites

If the view is obstructed then it should be noted on stubhub et al. Buyer could have reached out and been compensated if that wasn't on the listing.
