Tom Robbins Died

He was born in Blowing Rock. I very much appreciated his books once upon a time.

I read several of his but Another Roadside Attraction, his first, was the one I liked best by far.

Ishmael Reed is still my favorite writer of that sort of absurdist political comedy. I particularly like the Last Days of Louisiana Red and Yellowback Radio Brokedown.

I did an 8th grade English project that highlighted black authors over time, and Reed was the most current at the time ( his first publication was "Free Lance Pallbeares"
