Travis and Taylor

Gotta be honest, I totally thought their relationship was for PR until, God help me, I saw a little bit of them on the Kelce brothers’ podcast. Very supportive of each other and very funny. Hopefully they’ll be happy.

The media prominence of the Kelce family as a whole still seems extremely artificial and annoys me.

For a number of years, I worked on a charity event in Kansas City called the Big Slick. I did so because I was friends with some of the actors involved with it due to working in film and television when I was younger.

I got to know Travis Kelce pretty well due to spending a weekend with him for several years. He’s a really good dude. This was pre-Taylor and that part of his life definitely moved him into a different stratosphere so he may have changed as a person a bit. But, I can personally attest to the fact that he is a down to earth, even humble, kind of guy. Very nice to everyone, very friendly. Very upbeat and humorous.

Never met Taylor but I have heard she is also a very nice and down to earth person and it’s not just some kind of PR thing.

That said, amusingly, I hate celebrity news and the amount of coverage this will get will be nauseating. As a Kansas City Chiefs fan, I’m gonna have to watch the game on mute rather than hear commentators talk about their upcoming wedding.

Good for them. I hope they have many babies. Taylor Swift is so influential that she will likely influence millions of women to marry and have kids.

What an incredibly bizarre and weird thing to say, even by your very low standards.
no it's not...

ram is just parroting Charlie Kirk's talking points like the loyal MAGA he is;)

We’ve had some absolute dingbats post on this board through the years, but we have definitely never had somebody who so easily guzzles down the absolute dumbest propaganda from the absolute stupidest people alive with such reckless abandon as does our friend the aroused ram. You actually have to work really really hard and go really really far out of your way to be weird enough to have your first thought about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce be “I hope they fornicate prolifically, produce many offspring, and inspire millions of other women to fornicate prolifically and have many offspring themselves.”

It is an odd thing to say but I actually agree with him. If they have a kid, I would absolutely expect a rise in births (a disproportionate number of whom would likely be named Taylor or Travis). Kind of like the bump you see after big snow storms.

Only partially agree with Kirk - not advocating women "submit" to their husbands.

Why do we need more kids when we have so many undocumented immigrants who desperately want to be here and work here. Wrong skin shade?

Have you looked at the US's birthrate recently?
Yes, you dolt, as a matter of fact I have. Guess what are some really really REALLY good ways to improve that birth rate? You aren’t gonna wanna hear this!

*pssst* “The best way to improve the birth rate of the United States is not for weird, creepy old boomers to sit around wishing for celebrities to have sex, but rather to implement policies and pass legislation that will help alleviate the overall crippling cost of living caused by skyrocketing housing costs, out of control childcare costs, unaffordable healthcare costs, and obscene education costs, and the like. Things like universal maternal leave, subsidies for childcare, etc. would go a long way toward incentivizing young people to procreate.”

You might as well use her popularity f

Kirk got it from Rush. It's been a common discussion point on the right for a while. The fact remains that fewer people are getting married and having children and this will impact the US long term. Only some on this board would think it bizarre that one of the most influential females on the planet might possibly serve as a positive role model for women to marry and start families. Let's watch the birthrate 10 or 11 months after she announces she's pregnant with her first child.

Of course the left doesn't want this because (to quote Kellyanne Conway) marriage, mortgage and munchkins turns females into Republicans. The left wants women living alone in apartments, drinking wine and cursing Trump as they binge watch Rachel Maddow.
