Don't mind the wet. Geez, when is it going to cool down?
I hear you. After living outside the south for close to 40 years and moving back a few years ago, these summers are going to kill me! I keep encouraging my wife to retire so we can spend our summers up north and get out of this muggy summer stew every year. We have friends who have a lake house in northern Michigan and they typically go up there in May and come back to NC in October. I’d like to operate on that kind of schedule.Don't mind the wet. It gets hot there, too. Maybe not as often, but I have a friend in Montana and they have had several days in the 90s the past couple.of weeks.I hear you. Northern Michigan weather is impacted much more by the Great Lakes than Montana is (Montana isn’t impacted by the Great Lakes). It gets hot there, too. Maybe not as often, but I have a friend in Montana and they have had several days in the 90s the past couple.of weeks.
Up to 2.2 and the main part of the storm is still off shore. We got an inch of rain already here in South Wilmington. They're expecting 1-3 inches more.
They have tornado warnings when one is showing on radar. A lot of times it's when there is rotation in the sky but not necessarily reaching the ground.I thought a tornado warning went out when an actual tornado was confirmed. Tornado watch was when conditions were ripe. But it's been a long time since I was in NC

I grew up in Charlotte area in a time when 90 degrees was HOT! Also, I don’t remember a tornado during my 18 years there. For the person asking when to expect cool… late Oct, maybe.A lot of tornado warnings in NC today. New one out for Wilson County now. No confirmed tornadoes on the ground, though.
