The thing about MAGA is that, yes, half of them (roughly) are complete morons. They truly believe he's a genius. The other half know he's a liar and know how absurd it all is. They just want it because it "confirms" their feelings about things.

So, on the one hand, you have complete morons. On the other, you have intellectually intelligent people but emotionally unintelligent.

Of course, there's also the grifters and the "what's in it for me?" crowd. So, I guess, 3rd complete morons. 3rd emotionally unintelligent. And 3rd grifters.

And they are united in that the only thing left in life that brings them any real enjoyment is seeing what they believe is someone "owning the libs." In "It's a Wonderful Life," Clarence the Angel says that everytime your hear a bell ring, it means an angel just got his or her wings. In the MAGA universe, everytime a Trump supporter thinks a liberal just got owned, Peter Thiel just got a million more dollars. But of course, IRL, liberals actually get owned by MAGA nonsense about as often as I find a bull frog with pin-feathers.

There are different levels of intelligence. Many Trump supporters lack all, which is why many of them are morons. But many of them recognize the absurdity and just love the emotion of his "appeal." They're stupid, obviously, but only because they lack the emotional intelligence to understand what he truly means.

Regarding social media, it's best we all just ignore it. Like finding aliens on Mars without any hopeful prospects.

They don't care as long as they have someone that will get them the country they want only for straight, white Christian nationalists. Trump is just the means to an end because he will do anything as long as they keep feeding his ego and narcissism.
