What's the origin on that name? Thanatos was the Greek god of death, and Freud repurposed that allegory late in his life when talking about humans' death instincts.

Is Thanos just a dumbing down of Thanatos? Edit: wikpedia tells me that the creator of the character was in fact inspired by Freud's Thanatos.

"To whatever degree he is "doing" something, who cares? With all of the things going on that actually matter, this is right up there with old politicians falling asleep while at long, boring events and re-arranging my sock drawer.
 
I see where many others, including Prince William, also wore a blue suit to the Pope's funeral.
