been meaning to ask @ZenMode how do you square your boy pardoning the convicted trafficker who literally flooded our streets with cocaine with your absurd claim that he "truly cares" about stopping drug trafficking?

juan orlando hernandez aka Mr. "We Will Shove the Drugs Up the Noses of the Gringos" isn't the kind of person who you let walk free if you truly care about stopping drug trafficking.

can't wait to read your pretzel logic on this one!
There is no logic to this pardon or any of Trump's other pardons.... or Presidential pardons in general.

We're blowing up boats in the ocean, threatening military action against Mexico and Venezuela.... but freeing known drug traffickers?

This. This exactly. I don't excuse him in the least. He absolutely should have refused the order and resigned if necessary. That's what honor and duty look like. And again, this is PRECISELY why it is important to remind those in our uniform that they have a duty to not follow plainly illegal orders.
I am at the exact same place. If the facts of the situation are as has been reported, I hope Adm. Bradley loses both his reputation and his career.

Unfortunately, it looks like (at least) one of their own will have to take a fall for the military to understand why they can't follow illegal orders and seeing it happen will have far more impact than a thousand videos of politicians telling them the same thing.

Thanks to "ignore", I won't have to read it.

But I still don't support you encouraging him to share it.

right. so, as we told you nearly 2 months ago, these claims were absurd. he doesn't give a damn about drug trafficking.

sorry man, couldn't resist.

i just now remembered our interaction from nearly 2 months ago where this dude INSISTED that trump "legitimately" cares or is concerned about drugs.

comical stuff.

By George, I think you got it !

If I had to guess, Bradley was recently promoted because he was a guy who they thought would follow illegal orders.

I would also guess that the replacements of the legal officers have played a role. My question is, could Bradley hide behind bad legal advice? Will those military officers in legal advisement roles pay a price as well?

This doesn't answer all (any?) of your questions, but it's relevant. There is an unreleased OLC memo supporting the legality of the strikes, but there are reportedly at least two glaring issues with using it as cover - it was issued after the 9/2 strikes; and it says the laws of war apply, which the double tap strike would violate.

Put a pin in this response: “… So I didn't stick around for the hour to two hours, whatever, where all the sensitive sight exploitation digitally occurs. I moved on to my next meeting. A couple hours later I learned that that commander had made the - which he had the complete authority to do, and by the way Admiral Bradley made the correct decision to ultimately sink the boat and eliminate the threat. He sunk the boat, sunk the boat, and eliminated the threat and uh he was the right call, we have his back …”

[there were fewer than 23,000 cocaine overdose deaths from a total of about 81,000 illegal drug ODs last year — way too many but not 200,000]

Ahh blaming Biden is all he can seem to do.

Also, “Sons-of-bitches” is the preferred plural. ;)

Trump: Wasn't me. I had nothing to do with it. Ask Pete.

Pete: Wasn't me. I had nothing to do with it. Ask Admiral Bradley.

Bradley: (fuck)
Or, through a slightly different lens --

Trump: I said we would kill all the smugglers but I didn't order these two particular swimmers to be killed.

Pete: I told the Navy to kill them all, but I didn't order this particular missile to be fired.

Bradley: (fuck)
