If we had a center we'd be great. Maybe JWash will be a surprise, but he looked very far away last year. That said, Serge Zwikker looked very far away as a sophomore, but as a junior he was definitely serviceable (and actually good as a senior).

You must've watched a different game also. Did you see Nobody Neson drop 24 on Bacots pumpkin? Bacot was a slouch last yr with all his NIL bank. Our inside game will be worse this year. Get back to me in March.

10 of Nelson’s points were from free throws. I also don’t recall Nelson scoring most of his points while being guarded by Bacot.

Withers is a perfectly decent, ACC-average player at power forward, but he's not a starter on any team bound for greatness.

If Tyson can really play and defend PFs, we have a chance to be dangerous.

1-3 we are as good as anyone. Cadeau is destined for a breakout year.

I'm a little cautious on the ability of Tyson to guard ACC SF/PFs. It's a big step up in terms of size, speed and athleticism as compared to what he's used to. I also think it will impact his shooting, as he will have a lot less time to get his shots off as compared to what he's used to. Hopefully Cadeau's shot will show improvement this year, forcing other teams to guard him closely. If opposing teams can sag off him, clog the lanes, and take away his ability to drive, then it's going to be a tough year IMO. A lot depends on him. He finds his shot, opposing teams are going to have to pick their poison with our PG/SG/SF all ready to shoot when open.

There are always outliers. I would bet that if we query 1000 people, that OGtruthhurts would be the outlier with this opinion.

Of course one has to question a user name that includes truth hurts and the intentions here. Someone should point him to the free boards on IC, so he can join all of the other ridiculous fans that see anything less than 40-0 and a NC as a failure.

I never said anything about less than 40-0 and a NC as a failure but keep playing your cutesy know it all games. Couldnt care less about your opinion regardless. The truth does sting snowflakes though I suggest some Kleenex for you next time you cant handle someone elses opinion.

Just as most here, I was disappointed in the loss to State and Alabama last year, but we all know that the best teams don't always win. That's why we play the games.

I really look forward to this season.
 
Quick question, do any of you subscribe to the NIL fanbox?

I'm considering if I should continue. I've purchased for the first three years but haven't been that impressed. I really purchased it to help the players, but the way NIL is going I don't see my contribution making much difference.

At the same time I wouldn't mind having autographs of our freshmen this season. I guess I can always just purchase those.

Anyone purchasing a signed basketball this year?

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been buying the boxes as a means of supporting the players/ team. I'm not really a memorabilia collector though... so the stuff is kinda piling up. Most of the stuff I got is shoved back in their boxes, which are stacked on top of a bookcase. I don't really recall what I have.

bacot was rarely matched with nelson.

he had a very good season.....top 5 player in the ACC per metrics gurus, top 5 big man in the country, force on both sides of the ball. earned a couple of all america honors plus 2nd team all ACC and all ACC defensive team.

kid wasn't perfect, none of them are, but the vitriol some of our "fans" have toward bacot is truly nonsensical. and the whining about NIL just makes you a crybitch pocket watcher.
