That Cross guy was a dirty, John Tudoresque schmuck.Fuck these assholes from SMU playing dirty as hell. Stupid ass ACC for putting them in the conference.
He looked a bit unsteady. Hope it wasn’t a concussion or broken nose…….as Bonner or Wes Durham said…..it was just two heads coming together because RJ reached in…..had NOTHING to do with Cross’s head ACCELERATING into RJ’s face.Man, I hope RJ is ok.
Good game by the Heels.
What we are seeing is our most skilled players - RJ, Drake, Ian starting to gel. RJ woke up and played his kind of ball and I believe his playing point more gets him in the groove. Ian and Drake are doing what talented rookies do, they are getting acclimated to the step up in college BB and are moving past the big eyed era. Also I will give Washington some credit for putting forth some effort on defense. Home cooking went a long way last night. Last point - we have played many of the best teams in the country away from CH while breaking in our new horses. It is going to be interesting to see how this works out.Could I be seeing a team rising from the ashes?!?
Agree on all points. We still have the PittdookPitt 3 game stretch, but other than that, we’ve been through the most difficult part of our season. If we play like we did last night, we should be fine in the ACC. Perhaps going 15-5, 14-6 at worst. And with a lotta luck, 16-4.What we are seeing is our most skilled players - RJ, Drake, Ian starting to gel. Pittsburgh looked bad against dook. I don't know if dooks defense is that good, but Pitts offense looked stagnant and one deminisional.Agree on all points. That said, it was just one game, at home. If we play like we did at Louisville… all bets are off on the ACC reg. Season.
I don't know how the refs couldn't see he was using his head to try to get RJ out of the way. And their big goon had the hard foul on Ian, too.He looked a bit unsteady. Man, the look on Hubert’s face after their big guy had that hard foul on Ian. Ooh boy. He was ready to kick some ass.I don't know how the refs couldn't see he was using his head to try to get RJ out of the way. And their big goon had the hard foul on Ian, too.
Agree. One game at a time. But that one game last night was encouraging as a fanPittsburgh looked bad against dook. I don't know if dooks defense is that good, but Pitts offense looked stagnant and one deminisional.
But we can worry about that when we get there, let's take care of business this weekend.
Yeah, we got 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 blocks from Washington, Lubin, and Withers collectively. If we can reliably get about 20/10/2 from them collectively each game, that would be great.Best collective game from the 4 and 5 spot all season. Whole team set the defensive tone early
Drake played like he took offense by how wide open Notre Dame was leaving him on Saturday
Nice to see RJ finally get going after another slow start. Missed Ian a few times in transition
