still waiting for your response to my post in this thread.

I look forward to your advice on how to convince my ex and her work colleagues that the sky isn’t falling and that we still have a functioning democracy when they’re being accused of crimes against the state just for doing their jobs.

OK maybe it was 775. But the point is it's not hard to move 900 pounds of anything, so any idea that all this enriched uranium was just going to be sitting where the entire world knew it was until Iran got "tipped off" seems pretty ridiculous to me. I just listened to three hours of news on the way home from the beach and this war was the only thing discussed the entire time. Some of the stuff being thrown around is pretty far fetched. I hate Trump but I remain open to the possibility of a blind squirrel finding a nut here. I'm also open to the possibility this was a big mistake but those arguments shouldn't make fellow liberals facepalm.

Another argument being made on the news was that Iran was going to close the Strait of Hormuz and wreak havoc on the world. Some of my prepper cousins could probably take control of that strait right now and open it back up.

Oh God. For real, dude? Transporting enriched, near-weapons grade uranium is like carrying a sofa?

I have no idea whether Trump tipped them off nor do I care. I'm just flabbergasted at the thought process here. Maybe it's sarcastic.

Everyone is posturing right now but if Iran escalates much more and fails to negotiate a cease fire the current regime could easily be out of power by the end of the week. Israel is just flying planes over Tehran unabated. Iran has nothing left. The current regime has to know that if they do anything to Americans their reign is over immediately.

I agree that it is incredibly easy to move 1,000 lbs or 2,000 lbs……especially when the weight is in 50 lbs increments.

A couch that weighs 900 lbs……no 800 lbs……no…….

Come up with a better story.

It might have been 700. I also caught a 6 lb. Virginia mullet in the surf this week. Probably a state record but I let it go without weighing it.

Each cushion was loaded with 100 lbs of blow. 6 cushions plus a 150 lb couch gets you to 750 lbs. Add in a couple of bolster pillows at 25 lbs of blow, give or take…
 
Iran is the perfect example of a country without allies, unless you count Russia. And its coming to bite them. Interestingly, isn't that Trump's policy for the United States? Out with our old allies and in with new ally Russia.
 
So where do we stand?

We blew the shit out of Iran’s nuke facilities, then Iran couldn’t do anything about it whatsoever, and now we’ve got a ceasefire that recently became effective?
