Verizon outage

Anyone else affected? My entire family's phones aren't working but my Verizon home wifi is working.
 
Noticed it in NYC since this morning.

Oddly, I have a much older model iphone I use for work and it’s getting service fine. My personal newer model iphone has been in “SOS only” mode since morning, indicating no service. Both phones/numbers are under the same Verizon account, so I’m unclear why one is getting data service and the other isn’t.
 
Got about a dozen texts at 1:40 after not having received any for a couple of hours--many in response to texts I had sent just before lunch.
 
Mine is fine (Samsung). Partner's is not...his is Iphone. They are on the same account. His is a brick. Even on WiFi, it won't call out or accept incoming calls because the stupid Apple SOS shit overrides everything. For the life of me, I do not know what people see in garbage Apple products. And yes, I said the same to him for the umpteenth time and got scowled at as he had to use my Samsung to call his Aunt for her birthday.
 
I really do not want national computer systems controlling our Cars...I mean it will happen that "something goes wrong with the Software "
