Politics Iran Catch-All | IRAN WAR

As an aside, I learned recently that high amounts of lead in chocolate appears to be a problem due to leaded gasoline. The beans are harvested and then dried on the ground… the remnants of leaded gasoline in the ground are absorbed by the bean during the drying process.

Politics Iran Catch-All | IRAN WAR

The truth is that none of us are immune to the confirmation bias. We all do it. You are not different... you just believe that you have the reasonable point of view and the rest of this board is blindly following the liberal train of thought. Confirmation bias and tribalism are at the root of...

Politics Iran Catch-All | IRAN WAR

I mean Calla I follow your reasoning... I guess I have a hard time squaring what we know about Trump and the supposed mastermind you make him out to be. I'd wager that you are more well-read and intelligent than he is.

    Politics 2026 Midterm Elections

This is so important. I was just talking with a friend about the Harris/Walz campaign... mind you I don't think she was ever going to win, but imo the campaign certainly went downhill after they veered from "weird" to repetitive, scripted talking points like "turn the page" and whatnot. Off-Topic Chronic insomnia?

Off-Topic Six more weeks of winter.

I like snow/cold weather and would be thrilled except for the fact that my children are NEVER GOING BACK TO SCHOOL at this rate. Might get another 1-2" snow on Wednesday night. Nooooooooooooooooooo

    Off-Topic Hurting people you love

I had a hunch that this is what was going on. I've been on the other end of this equation and I'm very glad (in hindsight) that the relationship did not work out. She'll be mad and very hurt, possibly for a while. There's no way to break up with someone and not hurt their feelings, though you...

    Politics General 2028 Election

I'm in my 50s now and the amount that I've aged in the past five years is crazy. Some of that is due to stress and hormonal shifts, but in general people really do go through accelerated aging processes in certain stages in life. What has been interesting lately is that I am suddenly having a...

    Politics CURRENT EVENTS - DECEMBER

Sucks. Have seen quite a number of veterans with cancer and neurological issues that are likely due to the water at Lejeune. Others who are healthy now but afraid that they'll get a diagnosis in the future...

Off-Topic Kiss cam whoopsie at Coldplay concert

The reality is that people make stupid mistakes ALL THE TIME. I know I have... thank goodness the internet wasn't really a thing then. You shouldn't get death threats and be afraid of going in public -- or have to put your kids in therapy and take them out of school -- because you had a...
