He really has been an eye opener to our national character. I certainly thought much better of many people than they have shown themselves to he at a very fundamental level.

Mussolini’s depiction of the fascist loving their neighbor but defining such a person very selectively and xenophobically has such a perfect parallel to MAGA that it points to further investigation of that ideology.
 
Trump speaks of her while bragging on his election win in West Virginia in the same breath, his mile wide narcissist streak thinly disguised as remorse for someone he cares nothing about. I hope the family comes to the realization she died for absolutely no valid reasoning other than a political stunt or strategy involving future troop activities in our cities.

Eh, I think that quote is REEEEEALLLLY out of context from what he said and meant. Sounds to me like she wanted to be policing directly and detaining people herself if his interview is accurate of her thoughts. Sounds to me that she was upset at the limitations on their engagement, not that she personally felt it was pointless for them to be there.

By the way, I do think it is pointless for them to be there and only makes them into political pawns and the targets of derision.

I agree — I posted it for the interview itself. if this ex-boyfriend can be believed, sounds like she believed in the missions as she understood it (fight crime in the nation’s capital) but was very frustrated they were then set to do menial beautification work and toothless (weapon-free) walkabouts to call the police if they saw crime.
