That Jay Jones fellow must be a narcissist to have continued in the race. Or did the rules not allow replacing him on the ballot?

If I remember correctly it was too late for him to be taken off the ballot. At least VA Democrats look set to sweep pretty much everything else, but if Jones loses that would be a bummer.
I’m not bummed if Jones loses.
He deserves to lose.
If I lived in Virginia, I wouldn’t vote for him. I wouldn’t vote for his Trumplican opponent; I’d leave the AG line empty.

“… In New Jersey, Democrats have turned out at a higher rate than Republican voters in both mail and early in-person voting, putting the Democratic candidate for governor, US Rep. Mikie Sherrill, in a stronger position than Harris was last year at this point. Harris eventually won the state by about 6 points.
Through the end of Thursday, registered Democrats led registered Republicans in mail ballot returns by over 41 points, a couple of points better than the 39-point gap at this point last year. But unlike last year, Democrats also hold a nearly 2-point lead in in-person early voting. Last year at this time, Democrats trailed in in-person voting by 2 points.
Mail ballots also represent a larger portion of the pre-election vote so far. As a result, registered Democrats represent a larger share of the total pre-election electorate than they did at this point last year.…”

“… A CNN analysis of early voting data from the New York City Board of Elections has found that through October 31, about 53% of registered Democratic voters (55% of all voters so far) are ages 50 and up, while almost 16% of Democratic voters are ages 18 to 29 (15% of voters overall).

A new poll shows a tight race for the New Jersey governor's mansion as ex-President Barack Obama is set to rally Nov. 1 for the Democratic candidate.

Democrat Mikie Sherrill had a slight lead over her Republican rival, Jack Ciattarelli, in the AtlasIntel poll released Nov. 1. The poll of more than 1,600 likely voters in New Jersey from Oct. 25 to Oct. 30 showed Sherrill getting 50.2% of the vote compared to Ciattarelli's 49.3%, with a 2% margin of error.

The idea that, after 10 months of the Trump Clown Show and the clear and blatant erosion of our democracy and the literal occupation of blue-voting cities, only 57% of voters in Democratic counties are still bothering to vote - and that their turnout is still lower than Trump counties overall - is depressing. Still, as long as the slightly higher turnout in Harris Counties and slightly lower turnout in Trump Counties helps the Democrats win I'll take it.
The democratic voters don’t know those things are happening. The vast majority of people don’t pay attention to politics.

I believe the reason we have gotten where we are is not because we, collectively, have taken a hard right turn. Rather, it’s based on apathy. Part of it is based on apathy toward getting out and voting and another part of it— perhaps the bigger part— is apathy toward staying informed.

Yeah, Im not about to let miyares stay in office. Allowing Miyares to be AG will effectively negate Dem votes for other offices as he refuses to enforce or actively sues to undo Dem policies. He has also cost the state billions by not suing over Trump’s wrongful impoundment of funds designated for the state. Jay Jones is an idiot but considering Paul Gosar is still in Congress despite him posting a video of him violently murdering other members of Congress, im not about to let my state suffer for Jones’ stupidity.
These generic nationwide Congressional polls are all but useless due to gerrymandering. There will only be about 20-30 competitive districts when all is said and done. Regardless who Americans want to control Congress, only about 5% of Americans will have an actual say in that.

And of course the exact opposite is true - if NJ voters elect Ciatterelli they'll be regretting it by halfway through next year as he tries to cut necessary social services and engage in all of the other crap that Trumpers do.
