We're still a long way from the midterms and as the pain and suffering caused by all of DOGE's cuts and Trump's idiotic tariff wars and other self-inflicted wounds gradually settles over the country in the next year - it was always going to take time for the real pain to be felt - then I do think the polls favoring Democrats will increase and their margins over the GOP will grow as well.

The real problem is that with all of the gerrymandering being done by the GOP in House races and their inherent advantage in the Senate (more reliable red states than blue ones) it may not make much difference. Add in that the GOP is steadily buying more legacy media and forcing it to the right, or at least to a Trump-friendly position, and the Democrats are likely going to find it harder than ever next year to get their message out, or to count on the media to accurately report what's happening in the country. They may still win a victory, but it's going to be a lot tougher than in past off-year elections with unpopular GOP Presidents, like 2018 or 2006.

This. All of this unfortunately

Yeah, Im not about to let miyares stay in office. Allowing Miyares to be AG will effectively negate Dem votes for other offices as he refuses to enforce or actively sues to undo Dem policies. He has also cost the state billions by not suing over Trump’s wrongful impoundment of funds designated for the state. Jay Jones is an idiot but considering Paul Gosar is still in Congress despite him posting a video of him violently murdering other members of Congress, im not about to let my state suffer for Jones’ stupidity
It's looking like a very good day for Dems tomorrow with the exception of Jones. Maybe Jones will ride the other Dems' coattails and eek out a win.

That's probably his only hope at this point - that Spanberger will beat her wacko GOP opponent so badly that he will eke out a win riding her coattails. Or that and maybe the backlash to Trump in NoVA is even greater than supposed and maybe he can profit from that. It should be a really good night for Democrats in VA even if he loses.

So Saikat Chakrabarti has filed to run for Pelosi's seat. He is 40yo and the former chief of staff for AOC. He is big on green energy and very progressive.
The other potential candidate is Scott Wiener a California state senator who is 55yo and a progressive much like Chakrabarti. He has experience in authoring and passing many varied progressive bills..

Assuming there will not be another Dem candidate, I don't see a big difference. One is 15 years younger and the other has more legislative experience.

Is transgender for everyone basically one of these as free gifts to everyone? Or does it mean I have to transition. I am just confused. But I am kind of fine cutting my balls off if it means Trump and MAGA would go away forever.
