I just can't get behind a team featuring Miles Bridges, Brandon Miller, and the dukie Kon

Hornets haven't had a roster that was fun to root for in a long time
I get the Bridges hate. He's done all the right things recently, but I get never looking past the horrible things he did. What's the beef with Miller, though? And while I understand the hate for Kon here, the guy seems to be nothing but class and is incredibly fun to watch. Melo is the one I still struggle to like, but the way he's playing recently is winning a bunch of doubters over. They all just need to find a way to stay healthy.

It's been exciting to have the Hornets string some great games together because they've been so uncompetitive for a while now. Feeling so detached from college teams makes it easy for me to pull for Kon with the Hornets. I thought he was a great draft pick and he's still exceeded my expectations.

There was some bad stuff that went down with Brandon Miller when he was at Alabama

Brandon Miller did supply the gun used in a murder. He then deflected along with the entire Bama propaganda network to avoid any accountability. I think he avoided even one missed game.

I think I've just come to view a lack of accountability for criminal activity while an athlete at Alabama and Georgia as table stakes, but point taken.

Alabama/Oates players are small step down from duke players. Not a fan

The capital murder stuff doesn't help, though I think he was mostly guilty of keeping bad company

Have never been excited to pull for a duke player in my life and Kon is no exception

I'm mostly indifferent on Lamelo

In this age of OAD mercenaries my hatred of most Duke players while they are at Duke is generally not what it used to be and it becomes less after they leave. It completely dissipates if they join the team I root for and represent the team well. Kon’s a great player who comes across as a really good dude.

And was having a better rookie season than Flagg until Flagg was able to start taking 25+ shots a game. Plus the hype machine behind Flagg is nauseating at this point. Was hoping Kon would get a little more media attention.

I sort of felt this way 10 years ago but eventually got used to it being the norm

The year after year duke nba hype machine has been old

To each their own of course. Kon is certainly a great player
