Woof. Just when they were starting to click again. Feel terrible for him and everyone.

Ugh. At his age that could pretty much be a career ending injury. He very well may play again, but I imagine his productivity will fall off a cliff when he returns.

GS has an $80M+ luxury tax bill. They can't win this year or next with the deep and young West and the Butler salary crowding out room to improve. They should think about trading everyone including Curry and Green.

Steph ain’t going anywhere unless it’s on his own terms. Which means he ain’t going anywhere. Draymond I’m less sure about. Klay was a case of him not wanting to accept a reduced role, and the fanbase was ultimately at peace with it.

But there are things more damaging to a franchise and fanbase’s allegiance than being strapped for roster flexibility. Loyalty and deference to a player as beloved as Steph absolutely matters. See Nico Harrison’s move, for one. Those fans weren’t going to stop until they had his job.

Warriors at Wolves scheduled for today has been postponed until tomorrow in the wake of another senseless murder in Minneapolis.

JJJ for 3 firsts as an 8-player trade to make all the money work one assumes.

Memphis receives: Clayton Jr., Kyle Anderson, Taylor Hendricks, Niang, and 3 firsts.

Utah receives: JJJ, Konchar, Landale, and Vince Williams Jr.

edit: add this to the Magic picks from the summer and Memphis is loading up.

3 team deal

Detroit gets Huerter, Saric, and a protected pick, Bulls get Ivey and Conley, and the Wolves get under the Apron allowing them to take a big swing.

Why would Detroit give Ivey away for peanuts. They need 3P shooting but Duncan Robinson does pretty much what Huerter does (but maybe better), and Saric seems like an afterthought. And then a protected pick. Those aren’t filling big needs and you give away a lottery pick just getting his sea legs back after injury??

Detroit has been a pet team for me and I’ve watched probably 1/3 of their games. I was looking forward to Ivey getting his groove and making them even better. I don’t get it but maybe I’m missing something.

They don't want to pay him next year has to be the main reason??
