Crazy. Bam’s career high was 41. He more than doubled it. Him scoring 60 wouldnt have been anywhere near my bingo card, much less 80.
Seriously. Bam’s not remotely a big-time scorer by NBA standards, averaging 18.9 ppg this season and 16 ppg for his career. In 10 NBA seasons, he only once averaged over 20 ppg in a season (20.4). Never in my life would I have guessed he would put up the second highest scoring total in a game after Wilt’s 100 (which I can’t imagine will ever be surpassed or matched) and be one of only 3 players to score 80 points or more in a game.

Nothing like adding 1+ points to your ppg average ... IN ONE LATE-SEASON GAME.

He broke the Miami Heat all time game scoring record in the third quarter (Lebron in 2014 with 61).
