duluoz is almost sociopathic in the certainty that he understands others' thoughts and motivations, on issues with no objective evidence.
Pretty dumb thing to say — the only objective evidence of his thoughts and motivations would be what he said about it, and even that would be flimsy in this case.

Well, I didn’t expect this. It was a mostly great second half of the season until this game. Let’s acquire some quality bigs and build upon this solid foundation we have.

Turning it around just to miss the playoffs couldn’t be more on brand
Unfortunately dug too deep of a hole at the beginning of the season when Ball and Miller were out. Had our record during the first half of the season (games 1-41) matched our record during the second half (games 42-82), we would have won 58 games and finished second in the east. At least we have a lot of young talent and it’s blatantly obvious what we need (quality bigs).

All day long the local Charlotte sports media were talking about how we were going to march into Orlando and win easily. That made me know we were cooked.
The scouting report is to be physical. This team is soft. We were the prime example of “live by the 3, die by the 3.” No reliable inside game.

They need a big burly center. They have two first rounders this year maybe they can package them to move up. Or take Tarris Reed in the second round. They need a big man, not just a tall man.

I don’t think they’re soft. I think it’s just the inexperience. Part of that too is maybe they got a little (or a lot) over confident in themselves. Full of themselves maybe.

But agree they have to have a real inside presence.

Fun season for the hornets but bummer ending - hopefully not a one year fluke and they can be even better next year
Don’t think it’s a fluke. A lot of young talent that got gassed. This was the first season that all of Ball, Miller, and Bridges played together for more than just a handful of games. These guys need to learn from this, gain more stamina, get a little tougher, and we just need to add some quality bigs that can both contribute on offense and protect the rim. I like Moussa but he does very little on offense. He’s a good energy guy off the bench. Kalk is also a quality backup big. We need starter quality bigs.

Soft as in they struggle with physicality.

Scary team defense from Orlando.

If this result holds, the Detroit series is going to be a physical grinder.

Kon is mid. He ain't no roty

Gotta give the shortened name back too

Konner Nipple til further notice
I disagree that he’s mid. He just hit a rookie wall at the end of the season. But shooting .425 from 3 on 7.9 attempts per game (as a rookie!) is pretty elite, to go along with averaging 18.5 ppg, 5.3 rpg, and 3.4 apg. He also showed a strong ability to drive to the hoop and finish throughout much of the season. He was a big reason the Hornets went 29-12 in the second half of the season. He just needs to get used to the 82-game schedule.
