Don't look now because it likely won't last....
Hornets are healthy and have Ball, Miller, and all the starters healthy and are playing high pace, exciting basketball against the Hawks right now. Rebound, quick outlet, quick shots from outside, feeds for dunks.....all sorts of fun stuff.
Hornets have scored 66 points in 18 minutes so far tonight and lead Atlanta 66-40 in the second period.
 
Knueppel might their best draft pick (that they didn’t trade) since Alonzo Mourning.
 
Xmas Day NBA madness.

Knicks had a huge comeback in the 4th to win at the wire after being down 17, despite Donovan Mitchell with some insane plays late.

Gonna take a similar huge run in the 4th for OKC to avoid their third loss to the Spurs in a couple weeks.

Spurs and OKC could be battling for titles for years to come.
 
Spurs are officially Thunder kryptonite. And Dylan Harper is just starting to come into his own. Yikes.

All NBA teams that can trigger SuperMax options require 65 games played. Tatum, Haliburton, Giannis, Doncic, Curry, Jokic, J. Williams, and Wemby already seem certain or likely to miss reaching 65 - Lebron and perhaps Durant have aged out. With that void, guys like Sengun, J. Johnson, or Duran could qualify - Maxey seem certain if he get enough games. This seems like a flaw in the CBA. Does Portland want to SuperMax Avdija if he's 3rd team this year?

Volume scorer who barely shoots 40% from the field and 30% from 3pt, and is a big defensive liability. Aside from maybe the expiring deal, I’m not sure many teams were interested.

He seems destined to be the best player on a bad team. Which is needed, since bad teams have to sell tickets too.

Agreed.

I believe this deal works for both teams. The Hawks get out from under his contract and his play, while the Wizards get a "star" to help pull in fans. I do fear that his play may stunt some of their younger players growth, though.
