Why hasn’t Clemson hit every mid range jumper and drawn foul after foul tonight? Are they not trying as hard?

Really, really hoping this is one of those frequent years where dook either suffers a shocking early round exit to a much lower-seeded team that gets hot at the right time, or loses to a good but somewhat lower-seeded team in the Sweet Sixteen or Elite Eight.

Kirk Herbstreit doesnt slobber all over Ohio State midgame. Neither does Bilas over Duke. In-game commentary should not be a knob-slob for any time.

I'm not watching the game. Vitale is at least a decade past expiration and largely because of his complete inability to avoid sucking Duke's dick from tip to final horn.

Are any of those others basically senile and hanging on to life?

He's not even really an announcer anymore. He's strutted out like a Lee Corso prop

So if you want quality and well thought statements, it's not gonna be him.


Also kind of weird you ignored his cancer as a big reason he's just not good anymore

Agreed - he should have retired a long time ago. And he's been slobbing dook's knob for at least a quarter-century or longer. I remember when Napoleon Dynamite was a hit somebody on IC did a parody of the movie's poster with K, Vitale, and a dook player at the time (can't remember who). Vitale was Uncle Rico, K was Kip, and the dook player was Napoleon. It was pretty funny.

ETA: While I did appreciate Vitale's enthusiasm for the game when he was in his prime 20 or 30 years ago, I've never cared for him as an analyst, because he's never been a very good one. He always seemed more interested in giving everyone clever nicknames ("diaper dandies", Bob Knight was "The General", Coach Smith was "Michelangelo") and telling stories than in actually analyzing the game in front of him. And he got worse as he got older. What finally did it for me was his absolute man crush for Coach K. It was a real bromance back in the day.

Are y'all really watching this?

Maybe I'm weird but when Duke is not on a tournament I'm done watching. I just don't enjoy it like that

I didnt ignore anything. I won't watch him now at all because I find it gross when they trot out someone who should be ling since retired. I stopped watching Gameday segments with Corso 5 years ago for the same reason. My commentary about Vitale is based on him from long before the cancer. His hyping of Duke has been completely unprofessional for a LONG time...and I say that as someone with probably the least Duke hatred of anyone on the board. He's a total unprofessional hack Homer and that has zilch to do with senility or cancer.
