But they are very different things
Him hyping Duke? Yep for decades.
His lack of any coherence? Definitely dominant after all the cancer treatment.

But you can dislike him for both reasons. I think it's just sad to keep putting him on

Vitale sucked long before he had cancer.
 
He became a caricature of himself and has certainly hung on too long, but I’m still a fan of Vitale due to his earlier days. Though that doesn’t mean I want to hear him calling games.

I'm happy that he survived the cancer. He wasn't good before the cancer. While I wish he would have retired, no one can blame him for doing exactly what he wants to do and getting paid to do it. Seems like a smart move on his party.
 
With the things are now with the portal and having a different team every year, the state of Carolina basketball and seeing dook still have success, it's almost enough to make me not care anymore.
