Yeah we got fucked that year. It was really ridiculous having to go against USC.

but has anyone said how a 6 seed got a close region? Illinois has to be livid
 
I don't really have a dog in this fight but it seems absurd to me how often they put Duke and Carolina in the same first round location. They did put Michigan and Michigan State in Buffalo this year. But it seems to me that higher seeded teams should generally not have half the arena full of fans of their arch rivals.

Do they sell separate early and late ticket books? If not, they should.

Seriously, where are the upsets? The top teams are clearly at apart, unless there is an injury most of them should easily advance.

This is first year it has happened since 2017. Before that it was in 2012, 2009, and 2005. And before 2002, there wasn't the pod system currently in place.

Good point. They do. But they also sell all session tickets for all six games, and if both teams win their first games, they'll be in the same session for the Round of 32, when the games are likely to be closer. It's not that big of a deal, I guess. But if Carolina was a 1 seed and Duke was a 6 seed and they both won their first games, I'm guessing Carolina wouldn't love having half the "home" arena full of Duke fans for the R32 game against Ohio State/TCU on Saturday.
