Dude, when I lived in Berkeley, you had to avoid the People's Park on Thursday afternoons and Friday mornings as that's where they packed out the Soros Buses to take folks to each weekend's protests. If you weren't careful, you'd end up trapped there for hours because of all the buses that were going in and out to get all the hippies and students to their weekend protest jobs.

What else is he going to do? He's not the type of guy to pursue a legit career, so being a MAGA grifter probably seems to him like his only career option. He'll cling to that MAGA gravy train for as long as he can. It's like Jim Bakker getting convicted and sent to prison for grifting from his PTL flock, but as soon as he got out he went right back to grifting from Evangelicals and is still at it. It's like an addiction, and makes for a good living as long as you don't have a conscience or sense of ethics or morality, as they obviously don't.

I'm not sure how much of a real chance he has here. It's a Pub district where the current representative is running for Governor and it's attracting every right-wing doofus who wants to be in Congress. Whomever wins the primary will almost certainly win the seat, but the primary is likely to be a difficult slog unless the party steps in to clear the field for someone.

What’s funny is that one of the other Republicans running for that Congressional seat (Byron Donalds’ Trumplican seat in FL) is former Congressman Chris Collins, who grew up in Hendersonville and represented a district in far western, rural, suburban, exurban New York until Collins resigned after pleading guilty to insider trading.
