A ‘drink’ and a pack of 4-Corner Nabs

Ok, somebody help me out here...why are they called "4 corner" nabs?

Were there nabs with some other number of corners? Was it to distinguish between the square and the round ones?

Help me out here.
1st Answer: I have no idea.
2nd Answer: To distinguish them from Ritz crackers, water bisquits, Tricuits, and biscuits.

My grandma had a ceramic shop and would teach ceramic classes when i was a kid. She had bottled Coke delivered and would sell it in the shop. I stayed with her after school and in the summers until 6th grade. She used to always let me have a bottled Coke after school and one every day in the summer.

Growing up, a friend's faher would pour a bunch of saltted peanuts into his "Co-Cola" bottle. He grew up outside Selma somewhere. A UNC grad to boot.
My dad would do the same thing except with a Pepsi.
