we waste the most goddamn money in this country on the stupidest shit while we still use toxic chemotherapies to treat cancers that we are all prob gonna be affected by one day. fucking childrens hospitals are full of kids with cancers and we waste huge $$$ and time on stupid shit like this. what a goddamn ignorant society we live in.
Stupid stuff like this leads to good stuff down the road. It's not necessarily what they are doing but how they are doing it.

But I agree for profit healthcare does not work.

Don't really follow. I had a rare neuroblastoma as a kid. Back then, it was considered deadly. Stage II, favorable histology and I went through the standard protocol then which included 2 chemotherapy agents and radiation. I was fortunate. Because of research, today the chemo regimen has been greatly refined and the 5 year survivability is 95%. That's because of public and private research dollars, hard work of docs, and lots of unseen work by bench scientists.

Anyone else having trouble going to page 2 of this thread?

Edit: seeing page 2 now but not seeing posts that were made prior unless they were deleted. Not a big deal, only curious.

You likely have someone who has posted a lot on this thread on Super Ignore; so, for you, Page Two doesn’t yet exist.
Actually I could see the name of the people who posted but the posts didn’t show up. For super ignore it says someone on ignore.

In the timbers of Fennario
The wolves are runnin' 'round
The winter was so hard and cold
Froze ten feet 'neath the ground

Don't murder me
I beg of you, don't murder me
Please, don't murder me

I sat down to my supper
'Twas a bottle of red whisky
I said my prayers and went to bed
That's the last they saw of me

Don't murder me
I beg of you, don't murder me
Please, don't murder me

When I awoke, the dire wolf
600 pounds of sin
Was grinning at my window
All I said was, "Come on in"

Don't murder me
I beg of you, don't murder me
Please, don't murder me

The wolf came in, I got my cards
We sat down for a game
I cut my deck to the Queen of Spades
But the cards were all the same

Don't murder me
I beg of you, don't murder me
Please, don't murder me

Don't murder me
In the backwash of Fennario
The black and bloody mire
The dire wolf collects his due
While the boys sing 'round the fire

Don't murder me
I beg of you, don't murder me
Please, don't murder me

Don't murder me
I beg of you, don't murder me
Please, don't murder me

No, no, no, don't murder me
I beg of you, don't murder me
Please, don't murder me
Please, don't murder me

If you think your young golden retriever can efficiently wipe out your coffee table with its tail, just wait until they revive the stegosaurus from extinction.

They have about the same size brain. That brain/body mass ratio ain't in steggy's favor.

Reminds me of this fine news article ...

They jest, but as Homo sapiens we owe it to the Neanderthals to bring them back. We're the ones that wiped them out in the first place, amongst several other humanoid species. I have a particular interest in bringing back Neanderthals, when I got my 23andMe results back, it said I was in the 99th percentile of people with Neanderthal genetic material. Granted, it was only a fraction of 1%, but still, I stand with my Neanderthal brothers and sisters...

Hey, a fellow caveman! I was in the 95th percentile for Neanderthal genes (316 variants) on 23andMe. Maybe we can both go club some woolly mammoths sometime soon.

An anthropologist friend of mine contends that far from being the troglodytic brutes that Neanderthals are often depicted as, they were actually the sensitive artistic types that got wiped out by the more thuggish and aggressive Homo sapiens and naturally I agree with her. Basically Homo sapiens were the Magas of the Late Pleistocene era. Or maybe I should say the MANGA's (make the Neander Valley great again)...
