America's Reichstag fire???

Unlawful assembly declared and announced. Protesters who have taken over a stretch of highway are being ordered to leave.

Looks like many are clearing out but plenty of protesters are not leaving. Pro-Palestinian and other protesters have joined the anti-ICE protests.

We’ve seen much, much larger protests in LA many times before but this protest, while relatively contained in terms of total protesters and space involved, it also seems like it could get totally out of control if the protesters resist police efforts to clear the area. LAPD so far running this response.
 
Watching coverage on CNN — LAPD with an organized effort to push the crowd off the highway and up a ramp. Some soccer being played with smoke canisters being kicked back by protesters and then back again by cops, but wind is blowing toward officers.
 


So far, I thought the LAPD effort to drive back protesters seemed mostly well considered and contained (from the overhead view). Certainly some protesters who tried to breach the line got tackled hard and detained.

Once the cops come to clear you off the highway, you need to get the fuck off the highway. Don’t be the dumbest martyrs ever.
 
The poor Waymos are being attacked. They didn’t do anything. They are just trying to get people around LA without drivers. President Trump, please help us!

I'll agree with Dinesh on one thing. I've been advocating for drones to be used during riots to take high resolution video for later analysis. If people knew they were being videoed during riots and later might go to jail through facial recognition analysis, there would be a little less comfort in the mob to protect their bad behavior.
