I worry that lawtig might be correct.Majority?
Significant percentage of “Independents” and “moderates” living in the suburbs and exurbs believe in “law and order” (and low taxes); if Trump is “supporting” “law and order,” they’ll back him.

SecDef seems to think they are National Guard(?)
I believe in law and order and low taxes, too. But that doesn't mean they believe Trump when he says he is turning on the water to LA or that he saved LA from ruin or any of the other myriad crazy stuff he says every day.I worry that lawtig might be correct.

Have you ever supported Donald Trump? I doubt it. Doesn’t matter. You definitely don’t today.I believe in law and order and low taxes, too. The patch is just on one of the people, which is one of the reasons it looks like cosplay and not real military. It resembles the Army 25 infantry division, but they are based in Hawaii, so that makes no sense. The patch on the man in the foreground should help identify his unit, right?
No, I didn't even like him on the Apprentice. But I know a lot of Republicans. And very few believe him literally.Have you ever supported Donald Trump? I doubt it. Doesn’t matter. You definitely don’t today.
Those that have/do are the “moderates” and “Independents” I’m talking about.
I expect you believe in law more than order; the “moderates” and “Independents” that support or lean to supporting Trump believe more in order than law.
You’re not a Trumplican.
Do they vote for him and GOP Senate and House candidates? No, I didn't even like him on the Apprentice. But I know a lot of Republicans. And very few believe him literally.
I mean, they don't take me into the voting booths with them. But based on their comments, I suspect the vast, vast majority of them voted for Trump. Unlike @CFordUNC, these people are not going to switch parties and vote for Democrats.Do they vote for him and GOP Senate and House candidates?
If they do, I don’t care if they claim to not like him, believe him, or support him.
Right, so, a good number of “Independents” or “moderates” or “I don’t like Trump, but…..” support Trumpism while saying they don’t like Trump.I mean, they don't take me into the voting booths with them. In a two-party system, people vote against the other party at least as much as they vote for any candidate. You give Trump way too much credit (and power) when you suggest that a majority of Americans believe what he says.Right, so, a good number of “Independents” or “moderates” or “I don’t like Trump, but…..” support Trumpism while saying they don’t like Trump.
So, we’re getting closer and closer to lawtig’s 50%+1.
I’m not saying they believe it.In a two-party system, people vote against the other party at least as much as they vote for any candidate. You give Trump way too much credit (and power) when you suggest that a majority of Americans believe what he says.
That is a different issue. Lawtig wrote:I’m not saying they believe it.
I’m saying they’ll support it.
