America's Reichstag fire???

“… Multiple defense officials with direct knowledge of the situation told Military.com the chaotic and sudden activation of troops has effectively clogged up the flow of administrative work.

Those Guardsmen will likely receive formal orders and the proper backpay within the next few days, but that hasn't eased the concerns for troops anxious over potential financial strains and juggling family logistics, as the Guard does not assist with child or pet care. Though with the mission only a few days old, troops haven’t missed a paycheck yet….”

Trump is correct here. That is, indeed, what people voted for.

It is. Trump definitely tried to portray himself as the "law and order" candidate in contrast to at least the perception of the Democrats.

There's some good amateur video of the rioting in LA on Instagram/YouTube. In the video below, you see a protester take a full can of garbage and dump it on the street next to a sheriff and you hear the sheriff say "It's your city."

In principle, I absolutely support sending in the national guard to deal with the rioters in LA. Protest all you want. I don't even mind a little civil disobedience, but when it starts to turn into rioting and looting, I would like to see a swift and stifling response.

However, I don't like that he did it without the consent of California and, as the sheriff said, "It's your city". If CA leadership wants to let rioters destroy parts of the city with fires, looting, graffiti and general destruction, who are we, or the President, to get in its way?

ICE agents ram a car with a baby and toddler inside to arrest someone.

As the video, and minimal damage to the car, shows there was no "ramming" happening here.

Does anyone expect ICE agents to know there are kids in the car?

Assuming it's true, does anyone expect a man, with his wife and kids, is going to punch a CBP agent and the flee in his vehicle?

1. He didn't punch the agent there. The allegation was that he punched some other agent somewhere else. Judging by the track record of those involved, very likely not true.

2. They used fucking tear gas, dude. Why would you use tear gas? It actually is the responsibility of the LEO to consider the possibility that there are other people in the car, including children -- because, you know, a lot of people use their cars to transport children. So here we have a single guy, unarmed, surrounded by cars that had rammed him, potentially with passengers and they fucking used tear gas. You're going to defend that shit?

3. I'd be pissed too if multiple unmarked vehicles rammed my car. You don't think the officers should know that there were kids in the car? Well, how is this guy supposed to know that these are law enforcement officers? He probably thought he was being carjacked.
