Annual Wellness Visit

I hadn't been to a primary care doc in 10 yrs, and needed something like a check-up. I'd moved so needed a new doc. I called a practice i'd been referred to and just to get the "physical" where they review my bloodwork, I need an introductory dr visit. Screw that, so i called a different place... same thing :(
So three trips were required: 1 to say hi, another for the blood draw, a 3rd for them to review the results. Seems like #1 was a bit wasteful...
3 seems wasteful unless abnormalities are found. Small practice?

For someone like you, I would do that all in 1 visit.

Yep, just had mine. Lapcorp bill was $1850? It was negotiated down to $345 by my payor, and I owed $21. Our system is broken.
I owed $7.50 for routine blood work

I called UHC to complain because it's fucking absurd to think you can be preventative without blood analysis. Included in that was a PSA test. So what prostate cancer is a bonus program?

Fuck our health care. Thankfully it was corrected but it's exhausting

Under the libdem socialist gay plan they will be forced upon every man. Digital ones required with rainbow probes
Physicians no longer do digital exams. PSAs are meaningless. That said, getting a free PSA result is more diagnostic so getting that once year is reasonable .

Depending upon your age, you are more likely to die with prostate cancer than because of prostate cancer.
