My view of MAGA is that by definition they support Trump. If Trump is in favor of focusing on our hemisphere and staying out of entanglements on the other side of the planet, then that’s what MAGAs support. If Trump is in favor of preemptive war on the other side of the planet, then MAGAs support that.

Notably, they’ve had the opportunity to take both of those positions in the first 3 months of this year.

Exactly, by definition, If they don't support every single idiotic thing he does they aren't MAGA.

And it also needs to be said that, MAGAs not agreeing with something Trump did or is doing doesn't always necessarily equate to no longer being a supporter of his. It really is similar to the codependent battered spouse who calls the police every so often but then sends them away when they arrive. This is unfortunately what we're up against and it's fucking bonkers.
 
One of my Maga buddies is very much against the attack on Iran. I said “ no man, whatever Trump does, you have to support, wholeheartedly.” He said “not this, and he’s losing support from a lot of people over this.”

MAGA is not "almost like......a cult", it is a cult. A cult of mostly Christian wackos praying for the "big one" that could kill and maim millions of innocent humans as the precursor to the return of their man. It is crazy, I know. But, according to polls, 30 - 40 percent of American Christians believe it. Yep, 2000 year-old dead believers are going to pop up from the earth like cicadas.

You'd be amazed at the decrease that represents since I was a kid in the 50s.

Is that why they get buried instead of cremated?
 
One of magas most interesting characteristics is that things are good or bad solely on how it makes them feel. It doesn’t matter who said it (even if trump did) if it makes them feel a certain way then that takes precedent. This allows then to overlook and contradict literally everything.

Part of why they've gotten so hyper aggressive is the ground they've lost. So much of their self validation is in their special place in God's eye. All of a sudden, people going" "Say what?" and rolling their eyes when Christians try to convince others of this doesn't set well.
 
I was looking at a magaizine in the Dentist office today-monthly or whatever thing the Chamber in Garner puts out.
They featured some nice do good group that is kind of the center of such do good groups in Garner
One of their goals is to preach Jesus
I did not want to know that
