At least 15 killed in New Orleans attack

One question I have is why this person waited until after 3am to conduct their attack unless it was impossible to get anywhere near Bourbon Street near midninght.

I think the poster was asking what specifically you noticed that gave you that impression. I'm not going to lie, that was the first thought that came to my mind as well but mostly because of the M.O., not because of anything I noticed in media from the scene.

alcohol + whatever stressor that set him off might not have come together till 3. Could have been rejected in a bar or something, went and got his truck, and came back for revenge on the world.

They will have to determine if this was a planned or a spree attack.

I would think doing it at exactly midnight would have had the maximum effect if it was something planned ahead of time. Maybe it wasn't planned ahead of time, though, or maybe for some reason they couldn't get down the street until later.

I fully expected idiotic, sick and diabolical ish like this on the daily had trump not won. All of the warning signs were there.
But trump did win...

I'm not the only one waiting to find out what motivated this guy or what was haunting him enough to do something as horrible as this. Just like we all speculate after a mass shooting: Was he a hard-right looney trying to exact "revenge" on the left and the "unGodly"? Was he a commie, pinko-leftist, pissed off because Trump won? Or was he simply drunk, high on some drugs and his girl friend just dumped him right outside that bar and he was aiming for her and her "new" friend she had just met? A murder/suicide-by-cop-imma-take-out-as-many-others-as-I-can-as-I-go-out-in-a-blaze-of-ingloriousness? At first glance, it seems like the latter.

Of course it's all speculation right now. Time will tell, as he is identified and they go through his phone, his online presence/socials, his computer hard-drive... his past brushes with the law... his VOTING history... his manifesto (if any).

Just as a bystander observing things here alone, with no real knowledge of your posting history, I'll say that it doesn't look particularly good when you make a claim about it being Islamic terror (and it may well be) because of something you saw at the scene, and then proceed - to my knowledge - not to disclose what it is you saw at the scene. And in fact seem to be going out of your way not to disclose what you saw at the scene.

Doesn't exactly make it seem you are acting in good faith. This should be obvious.

Anyhow, carry on.

Agree with this. Speculation that could lead to all sorts of negative implications should be treated carefully as a matter of basic common sense.

If there is something that points in the direction of the speculation, then that observation should be stated along with the speculation.

I have zero idea of the motivation of the attack and therefore won't speculate as to what that motivation is or is not. If there's something I'm missing, however, I'd genuinely like to know what it is.
 
Opinion: Our FBI issuing is issuing no word on the identity of the killer so it’s likely a Muslim attack. x is focusing on black and white flag on the truck. Texas plates. EV truck.

Likely Georgia folks are dead given the game tonight so this hits home.
