The six include the helicopter pilot, and a family from Spain… at least two kids (some reports have said three).

Plane crash in Boca raton killed three. Happened down the road from my friend’s parents’ house

Among the victims were Karenna Groff, a former MIT soccer player named the 2022 NCAA woman of the year; her father, a neuroscientist, Dr. Michael Groff; her mother, Dr. Joy Saini, a urogynecologist and Karenna Groff’s boyfriend, James Santoro, another recent MIT graduate, according to James’ father, John Santoro …”

Why do private citizens think they can fly well-enough to warrant flying without a competent and experienced pilot and co-pilot?

3 people killed after small plane crashes on busy Boca Raton street​



“… Three people who were onboard the twin-engine Cessna 310 when it crashed were killed, according to Michael LaSalle, assistant fire chief with Boca Raton Fire Rescue.

A man who was driving a car in the area was also injured after hitting a tree due to debris and fire from the crash. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital, LaSalle said. …”

They’re not just private citizens. They’re neuroscientists and urogynocologists. Piloting an old twin engine plane in bad weather should be no problemo. Except the plane is kind of a dog, but only a broker or an aviation pro would know that.

What does a neuroscientist do again?

Doesn’t matter because it’s probably Trump’s fault that doctors have been killing themselves in light twin engine planes for as long as the healthcare system has been affording them the opportunity to do so.
