Big explosion in TN ammo plant

Are there any claims being made that this was an intentional act?

I would think that, barring any evidence, this is almost certainly an industrial accident.

1. Well, sure. That's why I said it better not be. You have to admit, there's at least a small % chance that it was intentional.

3. Will the administration pretend it's a bomb in order to do some crackdown. Like, Reichstag fire?
 
Normally I would agree. But there sure have been a lot of "industrial accidents" in strategic industries lately. I posted about it on the economic news thread a few days ago and now this.

I think we have to at least consider this has moved out of "sting of coincidences" territory and into "emerging pattern" territory.

Still may be coincidence, just a whole lot less likely than it was yesterday.

They were all explosions, yes. But the MO wasn't the same at all. Totally different types of facilities, totally different places. Unless it's the work of SPECTRE I think it unlikely that some terrorist group is getting around and planning/executing jobs that easily.

I think we are so focused in internal infighting, that we forget we have external enemies who would have to be fall-off-a-log-stupid not to be taking advantage of how distracted and divided we are. Especially since we've decided to take half the FBI and have them doing immigration enforcement for some insane reason.

Yeah, of all the places where an explosion should be assumed to be an accident until evidence otherwise, "ammunition factory" has to be pretty high on the list.

Seems very likely that a number of people are dead. Tragic. I hope we get some idea of what happened.
