And Hubert did nothing to try to keep Stevenson from being the one to guard him down the stretch and in OT. VCU kept doing the same thing over and over to get the matchup.

We shouldn’t have had to worry about a few missed free throws at the end of the game after we got up by 19 in the second half. And when guys keep jumping to pass over and over again, that might possibly be on coaching.

1. FT shooting is not actually about coaching and that's well-established
2. Players jumping up to pass is also not about coaching. That's just low BB-IQ.
3. As I said, I'm not defending anyone, just saying that the missed FTs are frustrating and mind-boggling.

Terrible choke job on all fronts. Plenty of blame to spread around including HD, but nothing makes me more furious than the FT shooting down the stretch.

Stevenson and Trimble missed front-ends and left FOUR FTs on the table. You can’t do that and win close games.

Anyway I’ve been resigned to this since Caleb’s thumb. It was this or get drilled by Illinois on Saturday. Which would’ve been preferable, but oh well.
