MONGO IS APPALLED!Not a fan of Dungeon Crawler Carl?
No because even on this best of his days, Zay was still worse than Caleb. I know you were kidding but it's still worth notingIs it time to tell Caleb and Henri the story of Wally Pipp?
This was probably a "best of his days" for Zayden, and he still gave up more points than he scored. His defense was bad.No because even on this best of his days, Zay was still worse than Caleb. I know you were kidding but it's still worth noting
I think he was very much told to not foul, so he just backed off once he was beaten. This was probably a "best of his days" for Zayden, and he still gave up more points than he scored. His defense was bad.
Yes, that explains the easy layup in the first half, and I had no problem with that. And I wasn't even that upset about leaving their center wide open for threes repeatedly given the scouting report. It was all the other bad positioning, not paying attention, ignoring cutters, etc., etc. If you rewatch the game (and I can't imagine why anyone would) pay attention to how often Zayden gets lots on defense and fails to get proper rebounding position.I think he was very much told to not foul, so he just backed off once he was beaten.
Considering what I thought of the chances of him contributing anything this year, I'm not going to quibble. Hell, he surpassed my expectations for the season last week.Yes, that explains the easy layup in the first half, and I had no problem with that. Agreed. Just pointing out one of the many reasons Henri and Caleb do not need to be worried about being Wally Pipped. Zayden has always had touch with his shot; it is the rest of his game that needs work. But today shows that if he has confidence, he can log productive backup minutes down the stretch. That is extremely important because it allows Henri and Caleb to play with a little less fear of fouls against the elite teams.Considering what I thought of the chances of him contributing anything this year, I'm not going to quibble.
