Biorhythms for UNC v ECU, 8 pm Start in Chapel Hill

For folks who have not stumbled upon this useful stat: The GoHeels site has a link to "live stats" fpr eacj game. But the feature I really like is that you can select the stats for the Second Half, allowing for a fun chance to examine first half-second half trends.

Really nice game to have before going on holiday break - everyone got to play and outside of free throw shooting can't really complain about anything
Giving up 20 offensive boards.

That big dude for ECU sure would be nice to have a back up big this year. Wonder if he would consider a mid-season transfer.

I know you can tease a line in your favor and take worse odds, but can you tease a line the other way and get better odds, e.g., could you have taken Carolilna last night at -40 and (say) +400?

It’s so wild to me that this 12-1 start is our best since 2008-2009. We’ve had some really good teams since then- 2012, 2016-2019, and 2024- so it’s fascinating that none of them have been better than 12-1 after 13 games.

We’ve officially put ourselves in position, after OOC play, to start thinking about top tier NCAA seeding instead of just hoping we’ll make the field like most of the last 5-6 years. Our ACC schedule sets up really nicely for a strong start. The @SMU game will be a challenge and the @Stanford/@Cal West Coast road trip is always a little dicey but overall we stand a really strong chance to be 18-1 (6-0 ACC) going into a big ranked matchup at Virginia in late January. Win that one and there’s a good chance at being 21-1 (9-0 ACC) when Duke comes to town. Obviously the team could have off games and we could get tripped up somewhere along the way between now and then and it would not be a huge surprise since conference road games are always tough, but the pathway is at least there for one of our best starts to a season *ever*.

On most betting apps you can. For example, Draft Kings has UK at -35.5 (-110) vs Bellarmine. You have the option to move that from -23.5 (-535) to -47.5 (+304). Buddy of mine did a parlay last night with one of the legs being Heels -32.

I wonder what UNC -47 woulda paid last night? Have to think it'd be better than (using your most helpful example) +304. +535 (ballparking)?

At SMU, January 3

Wake in Chapel Hill, January 10

At Stanford, January 14

At Cal, January 17

Feels like the 80's around here, when I was turkey strutttin' every year (but alas got my goose cooked every time, sans 82). 90's too, really (one natty, 5 FF's, shrug). Hell, a good chunk of the aughts (2 natty's, 4 FF's, shrug). The teens weren't terrible either. Ain't it great to be a Tar Heel fan? You goddamn right it is..
